THE DANGERS OF SPIRITUAL LUKEWARMNESS!


“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16 NIV).


INSIGHT:

In microbiology, bacteria thrives and replicates rapidly in a lukewarm (neither cold nor hot) temperature and habitat; causing great havoc. 

This explains why cooked soup or food easily gets sour or spoiled, if it's not been refrigerated or heated very well. At either very hot or cold temperature bacteria are killed and will be very inactive. 

The same scientific process as explained above is applicable to spiritual issues. This connotes that "Spiritual Lukewarmness "(neutrality); will create a conducive environment and atmosphere for the activities of Spiritual germs and bacteria (demons) that will cause destruction, decay and eventually Spiritual Death!


This is a major menace; to one's spiritual growth and health. Why will CHRIST spit out Spiritual lukewarm entities? Because they have gone sour and spoiled; and no sane person can either swallow or retain spoiled/ sour food in his mouth. Can you now understand His reasons for such action, as stated in the book of Revelation 3:16?


Therefore beloved, I strongly recommends that you should strive to be extremely Cold (insensitive) to the evil suggestions of the devil and be extremely Hot, in doing the Works of Righteousness; as JESUS CHRIST gave us an example [in Mark 16:15-18]. Also maintaining a consistent sensitivity and submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all issues of life and at all times. 

Finally, Continue in Fervent Prayers and Preach the Gospel of CHRIST in season and out of season, winning souls for His Kingdom! As for me and my generation, we are; “Radicals for JESUS CHRIST”; please, what about you, beloved?
