THE CONCEPT OF TRUE LEADERSHIP!


"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
(John 10:11 NIV).


INSIGHT:

TRUE LEADERSHIP IS SUFFERING [Selah]!

Then, what is suffering?


Let's differentiate it's component words, thus:


(1) Self.


(2) Offering.


In other words;
Self + Offering = Suffering.


This connotes that "Offering {one} Self sacrificially for the benefits, progress and well-being of others, is True Leadership."


Therefore, the identity and characteristics of a True Leader; "is the Capacity and Willingness to offer himself/herself as a sacrifice(ransom); in an Exchange for the well-being and benefits of others (followers)."


Can you see that?


The Greatest Leader of all times, "JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth"; demonstrated such quality during His Earthly Ministry and also expounded it in His Eternal Word, thus:

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
(John 10:11 NIV).


The above word could be paraphrased as thus:


"I am the True Leader.Thetrue leader suffers and risks his own life,for the wellbeing of his follower(s)"!

Therefore, as a follower of CHRIST, we are been encouraged to imbibe and inculcate His examples in leadership, not only in the Church but also in secular sectors; business, political etc.!
